We bring you greetings and news from Jubilee Project!

       Jubilee Project is continuing its ministry in Hancock County Tennessee.   Jubilee has worked as a catalyst for spiritual and economic growth in a very poor area.   That work is continuing.    With the transition of its long time director Steve Hodges to other work in Southern Sudan there have been some questions about Jubilee’s purpose and direction from supporters of the ministry.

      As a Christian ministry we are directly working and working in cooperation with other agencies to provide for some basic needs:

        Food--- supplementary food for children; emergency food boxes, initiating a meals on wheels program,  general distributions to identified families from Second Harvest and gleaning projects, garden encouragement.

        Shelter---home repair work camps, emergency home repair.

        Clothing--- working with other agencies on basic supply and distribution. These will enable us to reach more of the people in need.

        Clean Water--- working in partnership with The Living Waters For The World and other agencies so that people can have clean drinking water in their homes. Distributing bottled for personal use, and promoting and advocating for clean water sources.

        Personal Worth and fellowship--- a weekly youth ministry, senior citizen organization and activities, artisan and craftsman sales and development. Encouraging local farmers to sale locally at a farmers market and working in partnership with community on a community garden.

          And as always a readiness to be with those in need and to speak for those who have little voice.
