Hit a HOMERUN with Children and Family Ministries!
Join us for the next March Forth for Children on March 2-3, 2012, at Cokesbury Center in Knoxville. Our theme for this conference will come from Deuteronomy 6:4-7 which says:
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
The Children's Ministry team is planning two days filled with workshops that will help you make an IMPRESSION on the children and families you serve.
Mark Burrows from First United Methodist Church in Fort Worth, Texas, will join us and show us ways to involve children in worship. Mark is the former Director of Music and the Arts at FUMC in Fort Worth, TX, but recently assumed the position of Children's Ministry Director because of his deep love for children. He is the author of Children First, a book outlining a worship experience designed specifically for children and their families which Mark began at FUMC.
