Conditions for Service Loans:
- The applicant must be a certified candidate for ministry in the Holston Conference at the beginning of the academic period (semester or quarter) in which the service loan is requested. The applicant must be related to a district in Holston Conference for at least six months before applying.
- The applicant must be engaged in studies leading directly to the requirements for ministry in The United Methodist Church.
- The applicant must be enrolled in a Seminary/Graduate school recognized by the University Senate of the United Methodist Church or a Course of Study School approved by the Division of Ordained Ministry of the Board of Higher Education and Ministry.
- The applicant must have satisfactory scholastic standing at the time of the application, and must maintain a C average to be eligible for an additional service loan the following semester.
