Holston mourns loss of Jay Garrison

Holston Conference is sad to announce that Jay Garrison, long-time chancellor and delegate to General Conference, died this morning in Knoxville after a long struggle with cancer. In his absence, first alternate Paul Brown of Johnson City is now serving with our delegation in Tampa, Fla. 

Garrison was featured last September in The Call for his nomination to Judicial Council. A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for 7 p.m., Monday, May 7, at Fountain City United Methodist Church in Knoxville. Receiving of friends: 5-7 p.m.
