In Telford, Tenn., 40 volunteers from 10 churches joined to assemble bicycles for 46 needy school children.

At Bledsoe County prison in Pikeville, Tenn., 12 church members from Kingston provided 120 inmates with a Christmas meal, music, and gifts.

In Galax, Va., a tiny church that had recently considered closing instead invited the community to a Christmas party. Three hundred people attended, including 82 children who received new Bibles: 80 in English, two in Spanish.

We see these examples of extraordinary love throughout the year in Holston Conference -- but especially during the season of Advent and Christmas, when we celebrate an extraordinary love in the birth of Jesus Christ.

Beginning Dec. 25 here at Holston.org, we invite you to pause on each of the 12 Days of Christmas with 12 gift-giving stories from our churches and people.

Share your own stories and photos of extraordinary love by emailing thecall@holston.org.
