Holston friends share scenes from seasons past. Part 1 in a series.
RUEBEN CASTILLO, age 10
St. John United Methodist Church
Maryville, Tenn.
The children at St. John go caroling every year with a few adults. Some of the people that we sing for already go to our church, but a lot of them don’t.
Last year was really awesome, one of the best. We had a huge group of people, and we made a lot of people happy because we visited them and we sang for them.
This year we had another group of children who went caroling in our neighborhood, but we didn’t have as many houses to visit. The reason is that a lot of the people that we visited last year have started coming to our church.
They have become my friends.
