ALCOA, Tenn. -- The Alcoa Conference Center is closed until November 30, after a staff member received notification of a positive COVID-19 test today.
An email from Lori Sluder, assistant to Bishop Dindy Taylor, announced the closure to staff members at 5:30 p.m. today.
"As you know, the COVID policy in place for Holston Conference is to close our building when there is a positive COVID case reported," Sluder said. "... The Bishop’s Executive Team has decided that the building will be closed for the next two weeks. Please do not plan to work in the building during this time."
The building at 217 South Rankin Road, the headquarters for Holston Conference operations including the bishop's office, will soon be deep cleaned and sanitized, according to Sluder.
