Holston celebrates awards for Holley, Wadley, Camp Lookout

Holston Conference celebrates the following awards of its members and ministries:

Del Holley, conference lay leader and Knoxville district attorney, was honored for his dedication in helping the elderly in his community. Holley is this year’s recipient of the John J. Duncan, Sr., Award for Senior Advocacy, presented by the Knoxville-Knox County Community Action Committee Office on Aging Senior Citizens Information & Referral Service.

Camp Lookout won the "Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics" from the Better Business Bureau of Southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia. Director Don Washburn and staff member Leanne Chesney accepted the award for the camp, located in Rising Fawn, Ga.

Rev. Jeff Wadley has been chosen as winner of the Tennessee Wildlife Federation's 2015 Conservation Education Organization Award for his work on an outdoor environmental learning area at Carpenters Elementary School in Maryville, Tenn. Wadley is director of Buffalo Mountain Camp in Jonesborough, Tenn
