KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- "Hope" was the theme for Resurrection 2014 in Gatlinburg, Tenn., this year with this scripture, Psalm 27:14: “Wait for the Lord. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for the Lord."
Thousands of lives were changed during these weekends, capturing hope in Christ and learning to wait for the Lord as he works in our lives. Our church, Bearden United Methodist Church, sold T-shirts at Resurrection and desire to continue spreading hope as part of our ministry in missions.
Bearden UMC is a church that has hope and serves missions locally and abroad. We plan to bring these shirts with the message of “Wait for the Lord” to the mission fields in Haiti, South Sudan, and Costa Rica. We need your help. We are looking for sponsorships to take the shirts not sold to these countries. We ask for a $5 donation that will cover the costs to transport these shirts. This can be a church wide outreach, or a project for United Methodist Men, United Methodist Women, Sunday school classes, or youth groups.
Will you help us spread the gospel to these areas? When the shirts are distributed, we will send you photos of those receiving the shirts. There is no greater joy than to touch the life of one of God’s children by providing a need. There is a need and we want to honor the call to serve as Jesus served, live as Jesus lived, and love as Jesus loved. Send your sponsorship donation to Bearden UMC, P.O. Box 11065, Knoxville, TN 37939-1065.
