EMORY, Va. (Feb. 10, 2016) -- It has been a week since dozens of students rallied for a change-in-culture at Emory & Henry College. Their demands included strict deadlines, or they threatened to launch an anti-admissions campaign.
President Jake Schrum told News 5 he sent an email to the group's leader Tuesday, but he is not taking action to meet a deadline or a demand.
However, he and the administration agree, making a more welcoming and diverse campus community is a top priority and this protest has just accelerated their efforts.
