Foundation awards $73,300 in grants to ministry groups

The Holston Conference Foundation announced the distribution of a total $73,300 in ministry grants in 2013.

The four sets of grants were awarded to 15 local churches, three conference camps, three community service projects, the Cleveland District, and an event sponsored by the United Methodist Men (Calling All Men).

The Margaret Loving Grant was established to help Holston churches and ministry groups provide educational, recreational and spiritual programming for older adults. The Foundation awarded a total $32,260 to the following groups: Download PDF

The Eudow Hamm Evangelism Endowment, established to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, was responsible for grants totaling $16,290, awarded to the following groups: Download PDF.

The Evelyn Webb Henson Youth Endowment benefits young people in need at Holston Home for Children and supports other ministries. The Foundation awarded a total $19,750 to the following groups: Download PDF.

John B. Redwine Strategic Ministries was established to develop ministries for the betterment of people, consistent with the program and purposes of the United Methodist Church. A total $5,000 was awarded to the following groups: Download PDF.
