Hands on! Churches will collect supplies for Liberia, Zimbabwe

The Big Stone Gap District will collect notebook paper, dictionaries, and crayons. The Chattanooga District will collect soap, toothpaste and cough syrup.

The Knoxville and Maryville churches will collect cornmeal, beans, and ham.

Once again, Holston churches are joining in a Hands-on Project to aid missions in Liberia and Zimbabwe. Each district has its own assignment: Lists of school, health, food, or sewing needs for Africans served by missionaries Maria Humbane and Mary and Herbert Zigbuo.

Last year, churches provided 7,547 kits with each district exceeding its goal. The kits are due to specified destinations within each district prior to Annual Conference, which begins June 13.
