PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (April 2, 2015) -- The organizers of Jubilation, Holston's annual retreat for older adults, are celebrating a new location and high attendance at its upcoming April 19-21 event.
"Because of overwhelming response, registration for Jubilation 2015 is now full," the Rev. Gaye King, associate director of connectional ministries, said on March 26.
"We currently have 260 folks registered, an increase of over 40 percent from last year," she said. "The facilities are at capacity so we have made the decision to close registration with a waiting list in the event of a cancellation."
After several years in Kingsport, Tenn., Jubilation moved this year to a new location at MainStay Suites in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., King said.
Jubilation celebrated its inaugural event in May 2001, also in Pigeon Forge.
