MARYVILLE, Tenn. -- Charles Leonard Copeland, 76, died May 30.

The Rev. Copeland was a retired Holston Conference retired associate clergy member who had served McClure Circuit (1967-1971); White Shoals Circuit (1971-1974); Grace, Erwin (1974-1978); Pine Grove Park, Watauga (1978-1980); Beech Grove (1980-1982); Pine Grove Park, Watauga (1982-1987); East Chattanooga (1987-1988); Chapel Hill Circuit (1988-1992); and Big Spring (1992-1999). He retired in 1999, later serving Binfield (2003-2009). 

He is survived by his wife, Reita Copeland; daughter, Robin Copeland McCurry and fiance Terry Thomas of Friendsville Tenn.; one grandaughter, Jessica McCurry; two great-grandchildren; one niece and one nephew. 

Funeral services were held June 2 at Grissom Funeral Home in Cleveland, Tenn., with the Rev. Marvin Howard officiating. Interment was June 2 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Cleveland.
