Resurrection: Snow won't stop the show

ALCOA, Tenn. (Jan. 20, 2016) – Organizers of Resurrection are encouraging youth leaders to put safety first when deciding whether to let heavy snow and freezing change their plans for this weekend’s retreat in Pigeon Forge.

“We know there are concerns about the weather plans,” an email to youth leaders stated earlier today. “Please use your own discretion and travel safely.”

Both Resurrection, the Jan. 22-24 spiritual event for more than 10,000 teens and counselors, and Rez Kidz, the coinciding family event, will go on despite the weather, organizers said. “Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds due to inclement weather.”

Rez Kidz has sold out, so no tickets will be available at the door, the email stated. Tickets to Resurrection are available at the door for church groups at $50 per person.

Both events will be held at LeConte Center. "The staff at the LeConte Center has assured us they will work to keep things clear," organizers said.
