JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (Aug. 7, 2016) -- More than 100 people came out to Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church in Jonesborough for an event that helps feed people around the world.
Sunday’s event is the first of its kind for Sulphur Springs Camp Meeting. Members said they wanted to find a new way to attract people to the 197th annual event, which draws worshipers from the Johnson City District and beyond. 5 their annual summer, camp meeting event, where church members camp out in fellowship.
Participants packed meals for Stop Hunger Now, a global humanitarian relief organization that is committed to ending hunger around the world.
