ALCOA, Tenn. (Jan. 26, 2017) -- UMCOR has requested Health Kits and Bedding Kits from United Methodist congregations to help build inventory for future disaster responses.
“As you are aware, crisis can occur anywhere, at any time, just as with the recent tornadoes that hit Hattiesburg, Mississippi this past weekend,” said Catherine Earl, UMCOR spokesperson. “We want to be prepared as best we can to answer the call should our brothers and sisters need us.”
“Ask churches to make arrangements with their district offices to collect them,” Fetzer said.

JOHNSON CITY DISTRICT
District office: Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Please call ahead.
District office: Please drop off after Feb. 6, Monday through Thursday.
OAK RIDGE DISTRICT
District office: Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Office will be closed Feb. 6-10.
