Coming in future editions of THE CALL or THE CALL 2:

• C'mon, invite me to your church! It seems so simple. Just invite someone to your church. Go ahead, do it. DO IT! Then why not? Why are we so reluctant? Why is it so easy for some to invite friends or strangers to church, and for others it's so hard? The truth is, it can be embarrassing to ask a person to church, because you might not get a positive response. And maybe we're not all that convinced that other people want to come to our churches. THE CALL wants to do an honest story on inviting others to church, so we can admit our drawbacks and concerns and move on to the business of figuring out how to do it. Please let us know if you have thoughts on this.
• The February 2008 edition of the newspaper will include a MyDistrict feature on the Oak Ridge District. If you want to tell us what's great about Oak Ridge District -- the best ministries, the best restaurants, historical facts -- we'd love to hear from you. Please respond by Jan. 21.
• Prayers. We invite you to write a prayer for our "Pray Now" feature. (Don't worry, a resident clergy member will preview all prayers for THE CALL. Please, no prayers with personal information or anything inappropriate for a vast web audience.)
