The role of the Communications Team is to focus and guide the communications ministry of The United Methodist Church within the Holston Annual Conference. Key elements in this responsibility include:

  1. Development and guidance in the implementation of strategies for effective communication among annual conference agencies, districts, and local churches.
  2. Provide news coverage and stories about Holston Conference churches, districts, and ministries. 
  3. Promotion and coordination of activities to enhance the awareness and reputation of the Church.
  4. Leadership in the use of new and emerging technologies as tools for ministry.
  5. Provide communication training to local churches, districts, and annual conference agencies.
