Burks United Methodist Church seeks a Children’s Ministry Director with an expectation of 25 hours per week on salary.

The successful candidate will have a heart for showing the love of God to children, and the desire to work as a team player with an active ministry staff. Expectations include the sourcing and execution of the JAM (Jesus and Me) ministry for children K-5, with a minimum of the Sunday worship Grace Space experience and Wednesday evening JAM program, and one significant summer event, such as VBS. The position also covers Nursery Ministry, from infant to age 4, with staffing the infant and toddler nurseries, supervising all nursery staff and providing age appropriate programming for 3-4 year olds. Working with an existing volunteer base and maintaining active and informed volunteers is essential, Safer Sanctuaries training for all child/nursery staff is required.
