First United Methodist Church in Morganton, a downtown, forward-looking congregation of 325 active members with 230 worshippers between our online and in person platforms, seeks an outstanding leader for our music and worship ministry. 

The work of the position includes: lead and direct congregational music with a blend of traditional and modern music styles; direct the Chancel Choir and Chancel Handbells; plan and design, with Senior Pastor and staff, Sunday worship and special services; renew and grow the children’s and youth music ministry; and promote and coordinate other worship arts in the congregation.  10:30am Sunday service is blended with traditional and modern worship elements, and other special services throughout the year.
