Smyrna First United Methodist Church is seeking a part-time Financial Secretary to manage the day-to-day financial operations of the church.
Duties include managing and processing accounts payable and payroll, processing invoices for payment, preparing monthly financial statements, working with lay and clergy leadership, preparing deposits, maintaining records of donor contributions and payments, and reconciling bank statements and credit card statements. This position requires a detail-oriented person who will maintain confidentiality of all church related financial information.
This position averages 20 hours per week with some flexibility. Some duties may be performed remotely.
Experience with QuickBooks and Excel required. Experience with Servant Keeper (membership management) and prior church experience are preferred but not required.
A background check and credit check will be required prior to employment.
