We celebrate the presence of each person

Cathy Lee Phillips
An author, speaker, vocalist, and humorist. She is a Christian Educator, a “boomer,” and the 2009 Georgia Author of the Year. She and her beloved fur-baby, Heartlee, live in Newnan, GA. After writing her first book, she began to travel across the United States telling true stories of her life’s experiences and the ways that God has blessed her life; thus, she is known for her “humor with a message.” She has learned that we need to laugh more and to find the presence of God in all places and events. She, like us, has overcome and learned from life’s obstacles. One of her five books, Aging, Ailments, and Attitudes, shares her experiences of finding humor and living life to the fullness no matter your age. You will laugh, cry, and find yourself in the inspirational stories that Cathy spins as she discovers God’s faithfulness.
As a Christ-centered ministry, their vision is to sing great songs to people who are yearning for GOOD NEWS, an encouraging word, or maybe just something to smile about! Although their first official concert together as King’s Cadence was not until August 4, 2019, each member has been singing gospel music with other groups for decades, including all being former Lake Junaluska singers! All four men have had vocal training at the collegiate level and hold degrees in music. Collectively they bring years of experience and a variety of musical styles to the platform. Having been friends since 1996, they originally met in studio sessions and performing with ensembles based out of the Chattanooga area.
We will be following current CDC guidelines and provide ample social distancing. Updates and more information on the event can be found at Holston.org.
