Holston Conference clergy retirement benefits are managed by Wespath Benefits and Investments. You may contact Wespath online, or you may call them directly at 1-800-851-2201 (press "1" then press "0" to be connected to a customer service representative).
In addition, you can view all of your account details and update contact information and beneficiaries by creating an account in Benefits Access. It only takes a few minutes to create your online account.
Clergy Retirement Security Program (CRSP)
CRSP is a retirement program that offers both a Defined Benefit (DB) and a Defined Contribution (DC) component. CRSP is offered to all Holston Conference appointed clergy who are employed at least half-time based on minimum salary requirements for their conference status. Full-time clergy cannot waive participation in this plan. Clergy who are less than full-time may waive participation by completing a CRSP Waiver form, having it notarized, and forwarding it to Julie Graham, P.O. Box 850, Alcoa, TN, 37701.
Comprehensive Protection Plan (CPP)
CPP provides death benefits, long-term disability income replacement and other survivor benefits. All full-time clergy are enrolled in CPP and may not waive participation.
United Methodist Personal Investment Plan (UMPIP)
UMPIP is a 403(b) retirement savings plan offered by the churches and organizations within the Holston Conference and administered by Wespath to help you save money for retirement. UMPIP is designed to provide one piece of your overall retirement portfolio. The Holston Conference recommends that participants contribute at least 3% to UMPIP to round out their retirement plans.
This plan is available to all employees of the Holston Conference through individual agreements by each church/employer. Clergy who are enrolled in CRSP and contribute at least 1% into UMPIP receive a 1% match in their CRSP account.
