On Nov. 4, 2022, at Southeastern Jurisdictional Conference, Bishop Debra Wallace-Padgett was reassigned to lead our Holston Conference as resident bishop.
Hey Friends,
Many of you have been reaching out asking if we had any video footage of Bishop Wallace-Padgett's District Days so you could share with your Sunday School class, small group gatherings, or leadership teams. Since each District Day was designed a little different, Bishop Wallace-Padgett and I decided to sit down and have a conversation, and we want to share that with you.
In this video, Bishop Wallace-Padgett recaps her District Days presentation, reflects on what she loves about The United Methodist Church, and looks ahead to the future of our Holston Conference.
What didn't make the video:
We shot this video the week of the Tennessee vs. Alabama football game, and I tried baiting her into, what I called, the most important question of the week: "Who's your favorite team, Tennessee or Alabama?" With that wonderful smile and contagious laughter, she wisely answered, "Tim, I love SEC football." In my heart, I know she said, "Go Vols!"
Blessings,

P.S. Please forgive my shorts. I had just had surgery and my foot was in a cast.
