Psalm 111:1, 10 NIV

“Praise the Lord! I will extol the Lord with all my heart in the council of the upright and in the assembly…The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom…”

Devotion

Psalm 111 was to be sung as the people approached the Temple. They were preparing for worship by extolling the works of the Lord. His works are great and glorious. His deeds are majestic, gracious, and compassionate. He provides food and remembers his covenant. He is faithful, just, trustworthy, and redemptive.

I can only imagine…

What it would be like if we entered our place of worship extolling His greatness.

I can only imagine…

How our hearts and minds would be opened to receive His compassion and redemption.

I can only imagine…

What it would be like to be surrounded by His glory.

I can only imagine…

The wisdom and understanding we would receive, and the empowerment we would be given to go into the world to make disciples of all people.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Precious Holy Spirit, we come into your presence praising you and giving thanks with our whole hearts. We praise you for your great and mighty works. We give you thanks for providing for all our needs. We humble ourselves before you and ask for forgiveness. Fill us, Lord, with your Wisdom, your Power and your Holy Spirit. Send us forth to do your Work.
